Audrey Justine Tautou, a French model and actress rose to fame internationally with her portrayal of a shy eccentric waitress who won several awards in the romantic comedy Amelie. Tautou was often compared to Audrey Hepburn, due to the mix of attractiveness, charismatic acting and her talent. While Tautou came from an intelligent family, her dark-haired mother and father were both dentists as well as teachers. It was the last thing she expected to do. The actress got into acting in school, and made the decision to become a professional actress. She attended acting classes at the Cours Florent. She quickly landed a part in the production of a television film Coeur de cible. Venus Beauty Institute was her debut feature film for which she was given high marks. She is a daring actress who likes to try out a range of roles. She has appeared in various genres of film ranging from the romantic comedy Amelie to the action thriller Dirty Pretty Things. Born in France she was a part of a number of French films before she made her Hollywood debut along with Tom Hanks in the film The Da Vinci Code. A fashionista, and an affluent model, she's known by her looks.
